In this issue of the AMWA Journal, we place a spotlight on scientific publications with guest editor, Qing Zhou. Included in this issue are an overview of the Good Publication Practice (GPP) 2022 guidelines, an interview with one of the authors of the GPP 2022 update, and a guide to working on clinical research manuscripts. Also featured in this issue is part 1 of a 3-part series on the business of medical writing which takes a look at defining the value proposition as well as a report on the results of an AMWA survey on medical writing apprenticeship programs. In addition, there are new contributions from the Science Series and CE Craft Corner sections.
